What is it?
Can we provide our own music?
- A fabulously fun experience including a dance lesson in YOUR CHOICE OF STYLES (pole dancing, lap dancing, striptease, or general exotic dancing without poles, laps, or stripping). (Note that the striptease routine does NOT involve nudity. See note below about what clothing to wear/bring.)
- If you can walk, you can dance! The routine(s) you will be learning are beginner level routines that everyone can do. If there are special needs (mobility issues, etc), let me know and I can probably modify the routine to meet your needs. The poles can support up to about 300 pounds.
- We do everything possible to ensure that every women feels completely safe and comfortable. That's why there are no spectators, no men, no nudity, no forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to do, etc.
- YOUR HOUSE
- A typical party lasts about 2 hours for pole dancing OR lap dancing/striptease. If you want to do pole dancing AND lap dancing/striptease, the party will be about 3 hours and cost a bit more (ask for details). If you have questions about the length of the party, please tell us what you're interested in doing, and we'll tell you how much time to expect.
- The teacher will arrive about 30 minutes beforehand to set up.
- Wear comfortable clothes that don't restrict your movement (e.g., yoga pants and t-shirt work very well). That being said, it's fun to wear something that makes you feel a little sexy. Jeans are usually a bit restrictive. We usually do some moves on the floor, so skirts aren't the best choice either unless you wear shorts or leggings under it.
- We will not wear shoes or socks. (It's safer and easier to learn pole/exotic dancing barefoot.) Polish up those toes! :)
- Pole Dancing: Please do not use lotion on your hands before class if possible. Do not wear bracelets, watches, metal belts/belt buckles, or rings (if they come off). I will ask you to take your jewelry off before we start.
- Striptease: Bring a full set of clothes (extra bra, panties, button-up shirt, and pants) to layer ON TOP OF your workout clothes. We will practice the striptease by removing the extra layer, but leaving the workout clothes ON. The routine specifically uses a button-up shirt, although we can review how to remove other types of shirts too. By the way, men love it if you wear one of their shirts! If you prefer, you can pretend to take pieces off, although practicing with actual clothes works the best.
- Lap Dancing: No additional suggestions
Can we provide our own music?
- Yes. We like to use our music during the teaching portion (although we can use yours if you prefer). For the final performance, everyone gets to choose a song to dance to. We have lots of music, but if you have a song you'd really like to use, you may bring it on CD or an MP3 player. You can also ask in advance if we have your song.
- Yes, you may bring cameras and video recorders. Please ask your friend's permission before taking pictures/videos.
