Dance Poles & Supplies
My favorite brand of dance poles is Lil' Mynx. I own 7 of them personally (3 Portable Pro poles, 1 Petite pole, 1 pink Rotator pole, 1 stainless steel Rotator pole, and 1 stainless steel Original pole). I have also tried other brands and didn't like them as much. Thus, I highly recommend Lil' Mynx. In addition to the products listed here, they carry other poles and pole dancing related products as well, so check them out. The poles work on any type of flooring: carpet, hardwood, tile, linoleum, etc. If you do not have carpet, be sure to get a floor pad from Lil' Mynx too.
If you are 5'4" or shorter or have weak wrists, you might prefer a Petite (1.75") pole. If you intend to eventually flip upside down and hang from the pole with your legs, you might prefer a standard (2") pole. I like Tite-Grip - it makes it easier to hold onto the pole, especially for spins.

Lil' Mynx Petite Pole
Deb's favorite pole (because it's skinnier and easier for my small hands to grasp)...
This new addition to the Lil' Mynx product line has all of the same quality components and safety features as our standard poles, just a smaller diameter. The Petite is 1.75" in diameter instead of the standard 2". It is a great pole for dancers shorter than 5’4” as it is proportionally correct for your size. (More info & to purchase)

Lil' Mynx Fully Portable Pro Pole
Deb's travel poles are all this type (I have 3 of these poles; 2 regular ones, and 1 custom shortened for 7-9 foot ceilings)...
The Lil' Mynx Polished Stainless Steel Pro Pole is a 2-piece stationary design with a handy carrying case for use on 8 to 10 foot ceilings. The accessories included are bolted ceiling mount, friction ceiling mount (no drilling required!), non-skid floor pad, stud finder, tape measure, and grip ring.

Lil' Mynx Vaulted Ceiling Mount
All of the Lil' Mynx poles can either be temporarily mounted on a flat (non-vaulted) ceiling (with no screws in the ceiling) or secured with the screw-in mount (which Deb recommends you do if possible). If you have a vaulted ceiling, you will need the vaulted ceiling mount, which does place 1 screw in a stud in the ceiling.

Lil' Mynx "Rotator" Pole
Deb's 2nd favorite pole (because it rotates)...
Available in Red, Black & Pink. The "Rotator" has a smart designed bearing assembly in the base that allows the pole to rotate freely. It also has a lockout pin that will lock the pole into place and make the pole stationary when desired. It's like 2 poles in 1! (More info & to purchase)
